G/H.K. 3841.
Sir,
25th January, 1926.
I have the honour to state that
the Colonial Office has drawn our attention
to the fact that it is not correct to write
Hongkong in two words. We find that in 16
of the dies for letter heedings, etc., it is
engraved as "Hong Kong" and that it also
appears in this form on some of the uniform
buttons, badges, etc. We shall be glad to
know whether the Government would wish us
to have fresh dies cut.
I have the honour to be,
sir.
Your obedient servant,
Colonial Secretary,
ongkong.
(Signed)
for Crown Agents.
